Ted Conbeer

CHIEF DATA OFFICER

Boulder, CO

Ted Conbeer

CHIEF DATA OFFICER

Boulder, CO

Ted has spent the last 15 years working as an analyst, partnering with the rest of the business to help everyone make better decisions and build better processes to move faster, serve more customers, and improve efficiency. Prior to Privacy Dynamics, Ted was SVP of Strategy and Data at MakeSpace, where he guided the growth of the business for 7 years, and where he was an early adopter of dbt and the Modern Data Stack. While Ted leads the internal analytics efforts at Privacy Dynamics, he is also an archetypical customer with a lot of relationships in the data community. Because of this, he leads the advocacy and alliance efforts, as well. He loves enabling people and making them successful, and that applies to Privacy Dynamic’s teammates, customers, and broader community members. Ted’s two young children have displaced most of his hobbies, but he still likes to sometimes hike, mountain bike, rock climb, run, bake sourdough bread (and beignets), play ukulele, and take photographs.

John Craft

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Seattle, WA

CTO of Privacy Dynamics, John Craft has spent over 20 years leading teams of engineers at O’Connor’s, now Thomson Reuters. With John's leadership, his teams were able to build next generation search and discovery solutions, forms and contract automation, and recommendation systems for practicing attorneys. Applications designed to provide answers rather than links were a hallmark of John’s work, surfacing relevant rules, statutes, and case law to help attorneys shape strategies and win cases. John enjoys bringing people together to solve hard problems and build amazing software. He joined Privacy Dynamics with a shared vision of making data privacy-safe and usable. In his spare time, John enjoys pushing the limits in endurance races of all kinds and adventuring with his wife.

Brooke McGregor

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Spokane, WA

After years in Education Administration, Brooke made a career change to coding and never looked back. She attended Epicodus in Portland in 2018, followed by earning a spot in Portland’s Emerging Leader’s in Tech cohort. Since then, she has worked at a digital agency as a front-end engineer, implementing application redesigns and modernization. Brooke is a front-end software engineer at Privacy Dynamics. She enjoys solving problems: being creative while also challenged. Brooke likes to do house projects, hang out with her husband and their two dogs, or work on art projects while listening to a good audio book.

Craig Schlegelmilch

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Edmonton, Alberta, CA

Craig Schlegelmilch

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Edmonton, Alberta, CA

Craig has 22 years of experience designing, architecting and engineering software systems. Most of Craig's time has been as a consultant, helping customers deal with complex data needs including data modeling, management and integration strategies. Craig also has extensive experience in API design and management, particularly for public consumption. As a backend engineer, Craig spends a lot of time integrating third services to our products. He also loves tools, so he spends a lot of time thinking about and fiddling with various tools that make our internal and external processes faster, cleaner and more headache-free. If it requires more cowbell, Craig's the guy to take it on. Craig finds too much interesting and also has no attention span. He is currently spending (not enough) time training for duathlons, tasting whisky, learning about F1 cars and trying to master the art of 3D printing with his 9 year-old son. While failing in all of it, he's loving every minute of it.

Graham Thompson

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Seattle, WA

Graham Thompson

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Seattle, WA

Founder and CEO of Privacy Dynamics, Graham Thompson and has spent over 12 years within the tech industry. After earning his MBA at the University of San Francisco, Graham joined Microsoft where he helped enterprise and public sector customers navigate privacy regulations like GDPR as they moved workloads to Azure. Graham spearheaded several privacy research engagements with Microsoft Research and the academic community, which led to innovations such as SmartNoise, an open source toolkit that injects noise into data to prevent the disclosure of sensitive information and manage exposure risk. Inspired by growing concern over the collection and use of personal information, Graham founded Privacy Dynamics to make privacy a more reasonable task for data teams to put into their daily practice. Graham believes that startup life doesn’t have to be a miserable grind, and in fact can be the most fun job in the world. He balances the demands of building Privacy Dynamics by tackling 2,000 piece lego sets with his kids, or getting deep into the mountains on a pair of skis.

Will Thompson

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING

Austin, TX

Will Thompson

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING

Austin, TX

Will has over 15 years of experience designing and implementing complex applications. In his previous role, he focused heavily on search, recommendation, and content processing systems while building out the digital legal research platform for O'Connor's (now owned by Thomson Reuters). At Privacy Dynamics, while leading engineering solution designs and being very tedious, his data is more tabular, and his computations are more numerical, but maintenance and performance are still key. When Will isn't building software, he might be found making coffee, eating tacos, or shaking his fist at clouds.

Brett Westover

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Lodi, CA

Brett Westover

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Lodi, CA

Brett has served as a user advocate and a finder of solutions for a wide range of businesses ranging from well known internet companies to food manufacturers. At GitHub he built tools for managing the release of their on-prem product. Brett builds and documents the tools and technologies that enable Privacy Dynamics to be used in private clouds. He loves to enable customers to succeed and has found that removing friction and taking customer feedback is essential to achieving this. When he's not making the computers go beep-boop, he's making dad jokes that annoy his wife and two kids. He also kayaks leisurely on a river, codes games with the kids, or makes (and eats) pizza.
